4 men arrested after theft of catalytic converter at Chick-Fil-A

BAYTOWN, Texas – Four Louisiana men have been arrested after a catalytic converter was stolen from the Baytown restaurant.

It happened Sunday, June 26, 2022. Chambers County deputies responded to a Chick-Fil-A located on State Highway 46 and Interstate 10 in Baytown shortly after 4 a.m., after receiving a call regarding an ongoing catalytic converter theft.

The witness called from a Whataburger drive-thru. They were able to provide a description of the vehicle and the suspects.

Deputies arrived at the scene shortly after the call but could not locate the suspects or the vehicle.

Shortly after, the Chambers County dispatcher received a call that Baytown officers had found the vehicle in a Valero in North Main and on Interstate 10 in Harris County. Deputies went to the Valero and arrested four Louisiana men, Victor Ledoux, Carl Guillory, Blake Thomas and Jayme Pierre.

When deputies searched the vehicle, they found stolen Sawzalls, saw blades and two catalytic converters. The converters were returned to the owners of Chick-Fil-A.

The four men were charged with “participation in organized criminal activity” and taken to Chambers County Jail.

On June 26, 2022 at around 4 a.m., deputies responded to Chick-Fil-A located on State Highway 146 and Interstate 10 in Baytown, Chambers County, Texas in reference to a converter theft catalyst in progress.

The caller, who was in the Whataburger queue, witnessed the theft and was able to provide a description of the vehicle and the subject as the suspects fled the area. Deputies arrived at the scene shortly after but could not locate the suspect vehicle. Shortly after, the Chambers County dispatcher was notified that units from the Baytown Police Department had located the suspect vehicle at the Valero in North Main and Interstate 10 in Harris County.

The deputies responded to the location and took custody of the four subjects who occupied the vehicle. The subjects were identified as Victor Ledoux of Arnaudville, Louisiana, Carl Guillory, Blake Thomas and Jayme Pierre, all of Opelousas, Louisiana.

During a probable cause search for the suspect vehicle, deputies located saws, saw blades and the two stolen catalytic converters that were returned to Chick-Fil-A owners. As a result of the investigation, all four were arrested for involvement in organized criminal activity and transported to Chambers County Jail..
