REPORTS

ATTEMPTED THEFT, 2021-11160087, block 1000 of rue S. Hayes. At approximately 11:13 a.m. on November 16, police were dispatched with a report of an ongoing theft. Upon his arrival, officers located the male suspect and took him into custody without incident. The investigation determined that the suspect presented a store employee with a note demanding money from the cash register. James Brown, 71, of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with robbery. He was held without bail.

BURGLARY (Series) (End), 2021-11160036 / 11160044, 2700 block of S. Glebe Road / 4200 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 7:08 am on November 16, police were dispatched on the late report of a burglary in the 2700 block of S. Glebe Road. Upon arrival, it was determined that at around 1:30 a.m., the two unknown male suspects forced their way into the business by smashing a window. The suspects then tried unsuccessfully to enter the secure area where the cash register was located before fleeing in a vehicle. During the investigation, officers located a second business in the 1000 block of W. Glebe Road with signs of an attempted break-in, but no entry was made inside. At approximately 7:56 a.m., police were dispatched on the late report of a burglary in the 4200 block of Columbia Pike. Upon arrival, it was determined that between approximately 10 p.m. on November 15 and 6:08 a.m. on November 16, the unknown suspect (s) forced entry into the business by smashing a window and stealing a set of keys. belonging to a vehicle. parked on site. Suspect number one is described as a black male, approximately 5’8 “and 150 pounds, wearing a blue jacket, dark pants and gray sneakers. Suspect 2 is described as a black male, approximately 6’0 “- 6’2”, 160 pounds, wearing all black clothing. The suspect vehicle is described as a gray sedan. The investigation is ongoing.
