WRPS investigating commercial flight in Ayr


Region of Waterloo, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a commercial theft in Ayr.

On March 5, 2022, at approximately 7:05 a.m., police responded to the Stanley Street and Swan Street area for a report of a robbery.

Three suspects entered the business and began stealing equipment. The suspects were confronted by the owner of the business, which resulted in a physical altercation between one of the suspects and the owner. The suspects then fled with the stolen equipment. The estimated value of the stolen property is over $70,000.

The three suspects were all wearing dark clothing, masks and gloves. One of the suspects is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 5ft 9in tall with a slim build.

No physical injuries have been reported as a result of this incident.

The investigation is ongoing by members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service General Investigations Unit and the Break and Enter and Theft From Vehicle team.
